Favorite character I've ever made. Hmm, that's hard. If it means 'original' characters, I don't generally do original characters. I often take canon characters with little canon and make more of them than they are, but I like having that structure to develop my character with. And I've just seen so many originals that suck that I generally don't do it.
But my favorite characters to play...there are a bunch, so I'll just list, oh, a top five.
Sirius Black | Harry Potter - I really like playing him when I have a good HP cast. My Sirius is a very dark character, very rough around the edges, but still very much a Black. I love playing him when he's got family members around, and I usually bring him in either right before or right after Lily and James' death. Depending on just how dark I want to make him.
Peeta Mellark | The Hunger Games - I love Peeta. Book Peeta. I love all the things he goes through, and I love the way he's flipped against normal gender stereotypes. I find him fascinating to play.
Fingon | Tolkienverse - The bravest of all brave elves (save his dad), he's such a good hearted yet absolutely clueless guy. Loyal to the death, he's also a bit stupid, has a big mouth, and is obnoxiously vain. Love him.
Fëanor | Tolkienverse - This guy is complicated, but I love him. He's very difficult to play in something like a panfandom like doorway, because he's taciturn and tends to look down on people. But he's the most fascinating character Tolkien ever created, and has so much depth. I'd love to find a game where I could explore that. Maybe a game with Nerdanel or Míriel to control him.
Briseis | The Iliad - I started playing her after seeing what a crap fate she got in the book. She's a dark character, but also one who's strong and very much wants to look forward and not back. I like the line I have with her at
spinningcompass a lot. She's pretty content there.

I wouldn't mind seeing your Sirius either. So many are so happy and light but I don't see that.
